Milvia Mendez of Schenectady Honored for Academic Achievement at The College of Saint Rose

The College of Saint Rose in Albany, NY, announced that Milvia Mendez of Schenectady, NY, is one of 113 students honored for academic excellence.

Mendez received the Viola MacDonald Award for Excellence in Hispanic Studies. This award is presented to a junior majoring in Spanish who has shown excellence in Spanish studies, maintaining a minimum 3.8 grade-point average, and who has demonstrated support for/involvement with the integration of Hispanic culture in the community-at-large. Student must be from Albany County and cannot be a transfer student.
