Lauren Halligan of Broadalbin Honored for Outstanding Academic Achievement at The College of Saint Rose

The College of Saint Rose in Albany, NY, announced that Lauren Halligan of Broadalbin, NY, is one of 104 students who were honored for outstanding academic achievement.

Lauren, a senior at Saint Rose, received the Sister Patricia Kane Writing Award in Journalism at the annual Honors Convocation held recently on the Saint Rose campus. Students majoring in communications are invited to submit pieces of journalism that meet the following criteria: a compelling piece of accurate writing that adheres to standard journalistic convention and foregrounds the student’s ability to source a story and deliver accurate information in a timely fashion. Communications Department faculty determine the award winner after reviewing the submissions.
