Danielle Flandrau of Washingtonville Cast in Theater Production at The College of Saint Rose

2011 Nov 1

Danielle Flandrau of Washingtonville has been cast in The College of Saint Rose Drama Program presentation of "Cementville," a dark comedy by Jane Martin about a troupe of worn-out female wrestlers and their bombastic manager.

"Cementville" follows the grade-C women wrestlers as they attempt to perform their show at one of Tennessee's most run-down rural arenas. The play features bizarre local characters and over-the-top pro-wrestling stars who are clearly on their way out of the business.

Flandrau, who is a junior at The College of Saint Rose, plays the role of "Nola."

"Cementville" will be performed Thursday, November 17, through Sunday, November 20, in the Saint Rose Campus Theatre, 996A Madison Ave. (located behind 1000 Madison Ave.), Albany. Show times are: Thursday, November 17, and Friday, November 18, at 7 p.m.; Saturday, November 19, at 2 p.m. and 7 p.m.; Sunday, November 20, at 2 p.m.. Admission is $10, or $5 with a Saint Rose I.D.

Seating is limited and there are no reservations. Theatergoers should plan to arrive well before curtain time. Due to explicit language and violence, this show is not recommended for children. For information, e-mail kraussk@strose.edu or phone 518-454-5242.
