Andrew Matott of Rouses Point Honored for Academic Achievement at The College of Saint Rose

The College of Saint Rose in Albany, NY, announced that Andrew Matott of Rouses Point, NY, is one of 108 students honored for academic excellence.

Matott, a senior at Saint Rose, received the Sister Rosaleen Gilroy, CSJ, History-Political Science Award, The Honorable Loretta A. Preska '70 Endowed Award and the Outstanding Senior in History/Political Science Award. The Sister Rosaleen Gilroy, CSJ, Award honors the graduating senior carrying the highest cumulative grade-point average in the history-political science major. The Honorable Loretta J. Preska Award is presented to a student who meets the following criteria: first preference given to an undergraduate student planning to attend law school who demonstrates outstanding academic achievement; second preference goes to an undergraduate student majoring in the sciences who demonstrates outstanding academic achievement. Outstanding Senior Awards are presented to graduating seniors who have at least a 3.50 grade-point average and who meet other criteria specified by the departments in which they study.
